Skin Booster/Skin Care
The effects of Rejuran are good, but what about the pain..? Methods to reduce pain revealed
Hello,
This is Ulsan Snow Clinic.
"I heard that Rejuran is good, but is it really painful?"
"I heard the HB version is less painful, what is that?"
"Do I need to have sedation?"
You must have heard of a treatment called Rejuran Healer... right? ^^
Rejuran is currently one of the most popular skin treatments.
As a doctor, I definitely recommend this treatment in terms of effectiveness.
It's not called a 'skin nutrient' for nothing! Haha
Recovery management after laser treatment or
often used as a supplement for pigmentation treatment
is a product with truly diverse functions.
Pores, elasticity, fine lines, and dryness can be improved simultaneously
so you can expect improvements in all these areas.

However, many people have concerns at the same time.
That is
'Pain'
This is ^^;
To be honest...
There is no way to make it completely painless.
However, through various tests and experiences,
and by performing procedures on various patients,
I have found several methods to reduce pain.
Today, I would like to summarize those methods
in a realistic way ^^
Please focus for just 3 minutes from now.
1. Why do we have good results but experience pain?
Rejuran is
a treatment that uses PN (polynucleotide) components derived from salmon DNA
injected directly into the dermis of the skin
to induce collagen regeneration and restore skin structure.
It is not just a procedure that makes the surface moist, but
it enhances the skin's natural healing ability.
That’s why it is very effective ^^
The problem is that to achieve this effect, 'the correct depth' is essential.
If injected too shallowly?
The components remain only in the epidermis, reducing effectiveness,
What if it goes too deep?
It spreads into the subcutaneous fat layer and cannot act on the desired area ^^;
However, the dermis layer is very thin.
It is only about 1-2mm thick.
To accurately target this narrow layer
very delicate techniques are required.
Even a slight deviation in depth
can change the effect.

Moreover, the formulation of Rejuran has a high viscosity which
requires stronger pressure when pushing the needle,
This pressure is felt as
'tingling' or 'soreness'.
"As effective as it is,
it comes with momentary pain"
I think you can understand it this way ^^;
Then, how can we reduce this pain...
I have thought a lot about it.
While treating various patients,
I will share the 3 most effective methods that I have found.
2. Practical methods to reduce pain
① Anesthetic cream, time and thickness are key

"Isn't all anesthetic cream the same?"
No ^^;
There is a significant difference in sensation depending on the application time.
Applying it thinly for 10 minutes
and applying it thickly for 40 minutes
results in completely different outcomes.
In my experience, especially for sensitive areas like the forehead or nose,
it should be applied generously for at least 30-40 minutes
to make it much more tolerable.

If the anesthetic is not sufficiently absorbed,
you may still feel pain even after anesthesia ^^;
Therefore, I ask those who are more sensitive to pain
to please let me know in advance before the procedure.
This way, I can adjust the application time or thickness
a little more ^^
② Rejuran HB contains anesthetic ingredients
Rejuran HB contains hyaluronic acid and
a small amount of the anesthetic lidocaine.
It causes significantly less pain compared to the existing Rejuran.
"Does that mean the effect is reduced?"
No ^^

The effects are the same while only the pain is alleviated.
You can think of it that way.
Especially suitable for those who are sensitive to pain or
have a large treatment area.
③ Hand injection vs. machine injection? I use both
When I perform the Rejuran treatment,
I combine hand injection and machine injection (Dermashine).
Because
each has its own advantages ^^
For delicate areas like the eyes and nose bridge,
I adjust carefully with hand injection,
For larger areas like the cheeks and forehead,
I proceed uniformly with Dermashine.
This allows for procedures tailored to the contours of the face,
and it can also help distribute pain.

Sometimes
"Doesn't using a machine injection cause loss of the medication?"
Some people ask this ^^;
That's a misunderstanding..
The loss of medication depends on how accurately the practitioner controls the depth and pressure.
Whether using a machine or hands,
if injected properly, there is no loss of medication ^^
3. Is sedation anesthesia really necessary?
"But it's still really scary...
Isn't it possible to avoid sedation anesthesia?"
To get straight to the point,
I do not use sedation during the Rejuran procedure.
This is because I believe the drawbacks outweigh the benefits ^^;
Sedation may seem comfortable, but
it comes with more burdens than you might think.
- Fasting is required,
- Recovery time is also longer,
- It can be risky for elderly patients or those with underlying conditions.
Moreover, during the procedure, it is impossible to communicate with the doctor,
making it difficult to immediately address pain or unusual reactions ^^;

Honestly, procedures like Rejuran
can be sufficiently performed with just adequate numbing cream and HB products.
In fact, most patients
are able to undergo the procedure without sedation.
Rather, I believe that helping to relax before the procedure
and proceeding slowly while coordinating breathing
is more helpful in reducing side effects and stress ^^
"I worry about sedation due to pain,
but sedation can be scarier."
I hope you remember this point.
Summary
Rejuran is a truly excellent regenerative treatment that enhances the skin's natural healing ability.
Due to its high viscosity, it is true that pain may occur,
but it can be sufficiently alleviated with adequate anesthesia time, selection of HB products, and adjustment of the treatment method ^^
Rather than immediately seeking general anesthesia,
it is important to communicate thoroughly with the medical staff
to find the method that suits you best.
It will lead to safer and more satisfying results.
